Sliding House Created by Artist Alex Chinneck

The British artist and designer Alex Chinneck caused a stir with the clever remodeled facade of an old ruinous house in the Cliftoncille district: it lays half slid down in the front yard and now reveals the emptied upper floor.

The British artist and designer Alex Chinneck caused a stir with the clever remodeled facade of an old ruinous house in the Cliftoncille district: it lays half slid down in the front yard and now reveals the emptied upper floor. Especially striking is that everything of the facade, like brick facing, windows and front door, make a perfect bend, as if it slid down like a piece of clothing in an unobserved moment. The 12 month long planned and realized project has something funny, so it’s not surprising that its title reminds of a children’s song – ‘From the knees of my nose to the belly of my toe’.
